Meet the Team
Guy Carvajal
Guy was born & raised in McAllen, Texas. Growing up with a Nature-loving mom,he developed an interest in the outdoors and specifically in hunting & fishing. He has had the opportunity to hunt throughout the U.S.(including Alaska), Mexico, Canada & South Africa.
In 1987, Guy attended The Breakthrough School of Wildlife Art in Georgia and studied under Sallie Dahmes, a renowned Taxidermist. That year, he opened a Taxidermy Shop in McAllen where he soon realized he had a natural talent and love for the work.
During this time, he was also leading guided group hunts for ducks, turkeys, North American large game as well as exotic game. Additionally, he became a certified Hunter Safety Instructor. Guy has a passion for teaching ethical hunting & wildlife conservation practices.
Since 2015, he has been operating Antler Fur & Feather Taxidermy in Sarasota, FL. Guy is dedicated to providing excellence in his craft for each and every customer.
Juanita Gonzalez Carvajal
Juanita, Guy's wife of 43 years, has been his helper from the beginning. She learned how to skin, flesh & prep hides for mounting. She fine-tuned the art of finishing work which was the last step before delivery. Adding fine details & painting with an airbrush has been her primary responsibility. She was the fish taxidermist for many years and still helps in that area occasionally. Guy and Juanita have two daughters, Clarissa Homan (Aaron) & Jessica Purkey (Dylan). God has blessed them with seven precious grandchildren.
Kasey Wesche
My name is Kasey, I'm a born and raised Sarasota FL native who loves the outdoors. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Guy since 2022 and have since taken over mounting all of our birds
and small mammals. The art of taxidermy allows me an expression of creativity as well as giving me the opportunity to show my love of animals by making your trophy look its best. A background in veterinary medicine has helped dramatically with ensuring your mounts are anatomically accurate down to the expression on their face.
Landon Martin
My name is Landon Martin, I grew up in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania countryside and took on a wild fascination of all things nature at a very young age. I started getting into taxidermy by buying a Van Dykes squirrel taxidermy kit. I was hooked immediately and my new hobby eventually turned into a business when I opened Little Stream Taxidermy In Lebanon PA. Through the help of a few amazing mentors I was able to achieve a few competition awards such as Best in State for birds from the PA Taxidermy Association, Best of Show from Cabela's, and more.
In 2022 I closed Little Stream Taxidermy upon making the decision to move to Sarasota FL. Shortly after moving I came in contact with Guy Carvajal and Antler Fur & Feather and have since started painting fish for AF&F which is one of my favorite aspects of taxidermy. Guy has been one of the kindest and most outgoing people that I have met in the taxidermy industry and it has been an honor to work alongside his operation.
